BUMPER PROMOTION IN NIGERIA POLICE: AYO OGUNSAN CONGRATULATES GALADANCI, ABASS, LONGE, OGUNLOWO, AYILARA ON NEW RANKS; ASKS THEM TO PROVE THEIR METTLE

 

It was a mega promotion experience within the Nigeria Police Force yesterday as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase gave his anticipatory approval for the promotion and appointment of AIG Dasuki Galadanci, CP Yetunde Longe, CP Tajudeen Abass, DCP Lanre Ogunlowo, DCP Waheed Ayilara and other 1893 senior officers to their respective new ranks, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

This new development spurred the Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan to send his hearty congratulations to the newly appointed and promoted senior officers. He also tasked them not to relent on their oars and to justify the confidence that has been reposed on them by the Executive President of Nigeria, Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Police Service Commission and indeed all Nigerians who expects so much from them.

His words, ‘I want to congratulate the newly appointed and promoted senior officers of the Nigeria Police namely, DIG Dasuki Galadanci, AIG Tajudeen Abass, AIG Yetunde Longe, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, and CP Waheed Ayilara on their new ranks. Their promotion comes to me as a testament of dedication to duty, effective service, and commitment to policing ideals. I commend them and wish to inform them that they have to prove their mettle.’
‘Nigerians expect much. You have to deliver. I wish you God’s goodness, sound health, and wellbeing on your new role’, Ogunsan urged the promotees.

With this new development, DIG Dasuki Galadanci is now the Deputy Inspector General representing the North-West Zone. He will replace DIG Ibrahim Ka’oje who will retire on 2nd February 2024. AIG Tajudeen Abass is currently the CP of Delta State; AIG Yetunde Longe is currently CP of Eastern Ports, Port Harcourt; CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo is currently Assistant Chief of Mission in Somalia, and CP Waheed Ayilara is currently DCP of State CID Panti Lagos.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Commission’s Spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani yesterday, Ani had mentioned 1 DIG, 14 AIGs, 21 CPs, 20 DCPs, 109 ACPs, 184 CSPs, 1549 DSPs in the bumper promotion. The former IGP, Dr. Solomon Arase charged them to go win the war against insurgency as the Commission is uncomfortable with the trend of events. The approval has been conveyed to the Inspector-General of Police for implementation.
