COMMANDANT EWEKA OKORO LAUNCHES NSCDC NEW UNIFORM IN HIS COMMAND AS HE RECEIVES THE EXECUTIVES OF POLICE CAMPAIGN AGAINST CULTISM AND OTHER VICES(POCACOV) AND THE STATE COMMANDER OF MAN O’ WAR NIGERIA IN LAGOS TODAY.
In line with the vision of the Commandant General(CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, the Commandant of the NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Edenabu Douglas Okoro, msc, acma, cna, in the Command earlier today, Tuesday, 17th May, 2022, launched the new NSCDC uniform(additional uniform), which was meant to be worn mainly on Tuesdays of every week. He equally, charged the officers and men of the Command to remain committed to the core mandates of the Corps and tasked them to key into the vision of the Commandant General to rejig, revamp, reposition and re – invigorate the Corps.
The Commandant equally, received the executives of the Police Campaign against Cultism and other Vices(POCACOV), Lagos State Chapter, in his office today.
“POCACOV, is an initiative of the Nigeria Police Force(NPF), aimed to mobilize critical stakeholders in finding creative and sustainable solution to the growing challenges of cultism, drug abuse and other vices amongst our youths,” said by the Chairman Lagos State Chapter of POCACOV, Mr. Henry Bassey.
Commandant Eweka however, welcomed and pledged his support for the initiative as requested by the executives of the Chapter in Lagos. He also appreciated the fact that the initiave is also projected by a mix of ambassadors from the media and the entertainment industry, such as Mr. Robbin Emmanuel(MC Reo – Radio Presenter) and Mr. Olatunji Damola(Yoruba Movie Actor and Producer), amidst many others, which our youths can easily relate with.
In the same vein, the State Commander, Man O’ War Nigeria, in Lagos, Engr. Lucky W. Onimowo also visited the Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Okoro, today, in his office, in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Man O’ War Nigeria, Lagos State Commander, solicited collaboration with the NSCDC, Lagos Command and officially pledged to share local and community based intelligence with the Command, in a bid to assist it in achieving the mandates and functions of the Corps in Lagos.
Finally, the Commandant eulogised Man O’ War Nigeria, for their leadership roles in imbibing leadership skills; such as discipline, tolerance and respect et ce tera, in our youths, even at the tertiary level, where their membership is also visible. He assured them of a good working relationship under his administration in Lagos State as he strongly believes that security is everybody’s business.
