COMMANDANT EWEKA OKORO PROMPTLY HOLDS STRATEGIC SECURITY MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT STAFF, AREA COMMANDERS, DIVISIONAL OFFICERS AND TACTICAL COMMANDERS IN LAGOS TODAY.

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Edenabu Douglas Okoro, msc, acma, cna, today, Tuesday, 5th April, 2022, promptly holds strategic security meeting with his management staff, area commanders, divisional officers and tactical commanders, at the pavilion, in the state command’s headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The above urgent internal strategic security meeting came up at this critical time, following the Commandant’s General(CG) Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, 1st quarter conference with the National Headquarter(NHQ) management staff, Zonal Commanders and State Commandants, led by the CG, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, held on Friday, 1st April, 2022, at the NHQ, Abuja.

Commandant Eweka Okoro during his address in the meeting, briefed the senior officers on the new developments and applaudable achievements of the CG, within a short time in office, in segments including; procurement of vehicles, training and re – training of personnel, deployment of brand new ambulances to some international airports in the nation, including the Lagos Airport, to respond and manage disasters, payment of promotion arrears to eligible officers, development of new strategies to secure the nation’s critical national assets and infrastructure and eradicate the spate of killing and kidnapping through banditry and terrorism, by sharing credible intelligence with other relevant services in the nation.

The Commandant analysed the various security challenges bedevilling the nation during the interactive session with the senior officers, in the meeting and charged them to brace up for the coming days ahead in the new quarter, following the upcoming Easter celebration and the continuous pursuit of the Corps’ mandates in the state.

Finally, Commandant Eweka Okoro seized the opportunity to appreciate the CG, for deploying a brand new ambulance to Lagos, amidst other states, in a bid to manage disaster in the state. The Commandant also announced that the training of the 2019 newly recruited personnel deployed to the state has commenced in earnest, in line with the standard procedures and directives laid down by the CG at the conference.
