The Coalition of Nigeria Youth On Security And Safety Affairs,(CONYSSA) Lagos State, has organised 2025 Eko Safe Road Campaign to encourage Lagosians to stay alive by avoiding the act of making Phone calls while driving on the public roads.

This was observed on Tuesday, during the Economy Safe Road Project held at Allen Round About Ikeja.

Speaking at the Campaign, the National Patron of Conyssa, Dr. Amb. Oluniyi Adebamiji said what is wrong is wrong to be straightened out in Nigeria, to keep everyone safe while we encourage everyone not to eat and drink on the Road. For this help to reduce high rate of Accident in our country.

Also, he appealed to the Lagos State Government to help work on the issue of drainage in the state, that when the drainage also is bad and blocked, it contributes to bad occurrence on the roads which prevents the road users from enjoying our roads with so much delay.

He thereby promised to move the road safety campaign to other states, after achieving success over the current one in a thorough Assessment.

He narrated from the distributed stickers, that ” Distracted Driving Kills, while on the roads. So say no to use of Mobile Phone on the wheel, Drive Safely ”

The State Coordinator of POCACOV, Dr. Moses Oladimeji stated it loud and clear to caution Lagos Drivers in his address, that they must think about their Families and love ones, and avoid taking Shayo/Alcoholic Drink while driving anywhere on Lagos roads.

He expressed further, that Drinking and driving at the same time has ran so many people into unwanted Accident and untimely death on our Roads.

However, he called upon all the Road Ambassadors and Road safety Officers, like Frsc, LASTMA etc to put all hands on deck and continue the campaign by letting everyone know that safety is for everyone.

In his keynote address, the President of Ogwus Youth Empowerment and community Development Organization, European Engr. Dr. Chinedu Ogwus said everyone should please stay alive and cooperate with the safety campaign in Lagos to stop being distracted while drinking on the public roads,and jointly back the general point that your food and drink can wait, because your life is more valuable. And this is the reason why we all must stay safe and be alive.

Then stop using Mobile Phones while driving.

According to him, he begged the government to come his aids, in the area of Jakande Lekki Round About Express way, that Road users have not been driving comfortable at night, due to the beggers who cartaway Road users phones and belongings.

Also, he called on government to install CCTV cameras in all Lagos Roads and further remove all those homeless people who sleep on the road of the city of Lagos.

The Conyssa State Coordinator, Ambassador Akanni Micheal advised the Pedestrians also to put away their IPad, Handsfree while using the public roads  in order to be generally safe. For this safety should be the business of everyone in the Community at large.

Others in attendance, were the SSA to the Governor Sanwo-Olu, Mrs. Ariyo Idowu represented by Dr. Olu Afini, Lagos State Safety Commission Representative, Engr. Salisu Ogunlaja, the National PRO of the Nigeria Girls Guild, Mrs. Titilola Oluwatoyin, including the League of Red Cross, Royal Rangers, Cadet Corps, LASTMA and the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
