Israel Ajao: NAOSNP Commiserates with Family, Police, LNSA

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has commiserated with the family of retired DIG Israel Ajao, who recently passed on.
In a statement released by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Eric Elezuo, the Association praised the retired DIG for his stainless years in the service, remarking that the officer distinguished himself in the service of the nation, accruing accolades and goodwill among officers and men of the force. The statement further noted that Ajao, though retired still engages in community policing and relations.
“We recognise that until his death, Ajao was excelled in many high profiled positions including the board Chairman of the Neighborhood Safety Corps, Lagos State,” the statement noted.
Expressing his deep condolences, the President of the Association, Comrade Samson Oki, who had a robust relationship with the deceased, recalled how during and after his official service years, Ajao, remained a community based person, personally overseeing the cracking of crimes in his immediate locality, even as he relocated to Ibadan.
Oki said the retired will be solely missed by the association, as he was already penciled as one of the distinguished participants at the September 2023 National Security Conference.
“Ajao and NAOSNP have come a long way in synergy and cooperation, and he will be sole missed. His depth of intelligence and forthrightness will also be missed,” Oki said.
NAOSNP however, reiterates that like a concerned security group, the fallen hero will continually be celebrated and honoured.
DIG Israel Ajao (Rtd.), OON, NPM, mni died in the early hours of Friday June 3, 2022 at the University College Hospital Ibadan. A pioneer Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Intelligence Unit, a Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Force Criminal Investigations, and later Operations before his retirement in 2010 after a meritorious service to the nation, DIG Israel Ajao is an indigene of Oluponna in Osun State.
Ajao attended the University in Nigeria, Nsukka, University of Ibadan, and the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), at various periods in his life, where he was grounded for the meritorious service he offered humanity. He was not only a super policeman, he was also intellectually oriented.
