My primary role of legislation as a legislator combines effectively well with my other duties of education and communication for adequate enlightenment of the illustrious constituents of Kosofe whom I’m most honoured to represent in the House of Reps.
The law-making process is a meticulous, relentless and concerted effort of all relevant stakeholders. The metamorphosis of bills into laws passes through six different but complementary stages of receipt by the Speaker, referral to the Rules & Business Committee to determine suitability for legislative action, 1st reading, 2nd reading, referral to the relevant committee, 3rd reading and passage and assent by the President.
This strict, long and highly technical approach to law-making is why your expectations over bills may take a while before coming to reality. Nevertheless, I’ve sponsored the National Electronic Health Bill among many other people-oriented bills, which are at different stages of completion.
Dear constituents, it’s been my honour representing you all and I’ll continue to give you my best.
