NATIONWIDE PROTEST: SOUTH SOUTH YOUTH LEADER LAGOS STATE – TONYE IWORIBO ADVICE NIGERIA CITIZEN.

“I am here today to acknowledge and represent the South-South youths that are residents in Lagos State that the south south youths won’t be involved in any form of protest in the state or anywhere around its environment.

The south south’s youths are aware of the manipulations of the planned protest national wide and after much deliberation and understanding. As the south south youth leader i publicly advised our youths to disembarked or disengage from such protest that will cause more harm and damage to the lives and properties of Lagos state whose imparts and contributions to the south south youths cannot be underestimated.

We might not make the front page of every journals and newspapers of the state but the south south youths whose dedication, commitments and supports to the development to the state is genuine and sincere.

Since time back that our forefathers  came here to settle and make a living from the state and they were prosperous in their own right and ways. It won’t be this time around that our generation will now decide to break that bond of commitment and loyalty to the government and hierarchy of the state.

Our grandparents had a dream that the generations after them in Lagos state will not be judged by the ethnicity of their birth but the content of their character and I also believed that enough is enough of the agitation to protest against a government that are faced with genuine global challenges and responsibilities and are still committed in making sure her citizens and People continue to thrive in this present global financial difficulties and melt down.

“We as a tribe/region understand that nonviolence is the way of life for a courageous people. We as a people understand that we are not here to fight against one another or against our benefactors and that we are here to fight for life and peace for the good people of Lagos state indigenous people.

I have always believed that Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.’ Which now leads me to say that violence cannot drive out violence, only peace can do that.”

As I stand here before you as the south south youth leader of Lagos state, I stand as a resident also from River’s state of origin that I am also affected by the global hardship affecting the state and the country at large but still a survivor and believer of the government of Lagos state led by His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his cabinet members.

Therefore after carefully reviewing, examining and analyzing the whole situation the SOUTH SOUTH YOUTHS LAGOS STATE today declare a ‘NO TO PROTEST AGENDA’ in Lagos state

My generation — We must educate ourselves and start conversations that keep our state and country moving forward and we the south south youths promise to allow the government to fix the broken system we’ve been forced into and create a better world for the generations to come. Don’t worry, they’ve got this.
