….. This is a call to Setting Aside Also Day To Celebrate Heroes In Nigeria

Nigeria Government has been cautioned to  note what is the best of Laws and Legacy to save the next generation in Nigeria, as the Leadership in the nation is urged to support true democracy, with the practice of doing the right thing and it’s Rule of Laws, but not to subscribing into the rule of the Rulers of Laws in Nigeria.

Through accessioned of occurrence of the most serious one in the nation, at the nation image damage of emergency rule of the Nigeria President,s idea of state of emergency, who suspended the elected executives of the state.

This was revealed on Wednesday April 2,2025 during the 4th Anniversary of Comrade Yinka Odumakin Lecture  held at the Airport Hotel Ikeja.

Speaking at the Lecture, the Guest Speaker,S. A.  N. Mr. Femi Falana said it is only when you have some set of Kabiesi in power of the nation those who can misinterprete the legal submission of the court of Law, that is when many things can be manipulated and be misrepresented in the court of the nation.

Therefore, Nigerians must stand up to correct the wrong occurrence in the society by rising up against any Lawyer who come out to defend any individual with wrong message of the court of Law, and ask that what section of the constitution and the Laws quote such abnormally.

Because a court of justice is not a Kabiesi Court.

In his serious explanation, he said history about Nigeria Leaders should not be forgotten, but to be remembered, that sometimes in 1985, the General Ibrahim Babangida’s Administration dissolved the then ruling house in the state and “we challenged the government to straighten up the  injustice of the society, and Chief Gani Fawehinmi fought the case with Femi Falana at the point where the IBB ended up describing Femi Falana as Busy Body Lawyer.

At which the then Justice of the federation filed a suit against Chief Gani Fawehinmi over challenging the wrong section and injustice and he sentenced him to 12 months imprisonment.

Meanwhile, he buttressed that the people must continue to preach the right thing to be done to save us in Nigeria and the unborn generation.

For in the court of law nobody is above the law, that once the rule of law is allowed by all in the nation and it’s authority respectfully concur then we will have a safe and progressive nation.

He maintained also, that everyone in Nigeria must see the injustice to one as injustice to all of us.

He stressed further, that Lagos State claimed that the state is the 5th largest economy in Nigeria but we have not asked the actors and the Legislators of the state questions, that why is the state Government currently demolishing the shanties owned by the Poor in the state,and use the money of the people in the state to build Houses for the Rich?

The Rule of Law must be respected by all and democracy society must work for everyone. He said.

Again, Falana expressed that if we continue to abandon the Children of the poor in Nigeria it will become a dangerous occurrence to all, that nobody will be able to sleep with his eyes closed any more.

And this is already happening in Nigeria because a lot of our children are on the street with nobody to help. He said.

He appealed therefore, that quality Education should be made accessible for our Children and right to medical health and unquestionable employment for our Youth.

However, he said for the right Legacy Comrade Yinka Odumakin has laid down, it should be well celebrated every day, and not only Every year.

While he charged the concerned Citizens of Nigeria to rise up and set a day aside to celebrate the Heroes of Nigeria.

Mr. Jimi Agbaje described Comrade Yinka Odumakin in his goodwill message, as a generous and selfless   individual who stands by his words in the struggle and concer.

While he thereby called on everyone to build upon his right legacy to create a safe place for our children.

The Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land, Iba Gani Ige Adams said in his goodwill message, that Yinka Odumakin was a courageous and determined person who was ready to make things right till the end without a fear of any threat.

Saying also that he was a good friend, and Bigot we cannot forget in a hurry in Nigeria history of democracy dealing.

Because I cannot forget his memory when he visited me and I advised him to take care of his health, which we regretfully lost him after a week and a half that we last spoke.

The President of the Oluyinka Odumakin Foundation, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin described her late husband had always fought for justice and ensured that his life was spent more on others in the struggle, duty and dedication.

With the years he spent between the year 1966 _ 2021.

From the facts she gathered so well among the speakers, she said indeed, that it is important to dialogue among others and set a day aside in Nigeria, to celebrate the Heroes.

She added also, that Nigerians should get to the pedestrian where we all respect the rules of Law of the nation.

Because Nigeria’s our country and we have no where to go as we must insist to do the right thing for our peace, future and betterment of our country .

The late Comrade Yinka Odumakin’s brother, the CAC Ikorodu’s Pastor Odumakin Jacob prayed for his brother’s family peace and protection to his wife who have taken it as a duty to mark the husband anniversary and building on his real legacy .

Saying that once he attends the anniversary annually,the words and contributions of the people,  gives him hope that his brother does not die in vain.
