Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Otunba Oloyede Presents N7.9B Budget of Consolidation

The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has presented a proposed budget of 7.9 billion naira before the council legislative arm.

Oloyede who presented the year 2025 proposed budget christened “budget of consolidation” assured that when passed, would be implemented to the latter to serve the people of the local government.

Otunba Oloyede disclosed that over the course of the last three and half years, his administration has implemented and delivered several priority projects with considerable number of others currently on going would be delivered soonest and more to be carried out in 2025.

In his words; “it is with great pleasure and thanks to the Almighty God that I stand before you this morning to present the proposed year 2025 appropriation Bill to this distinguished house.

He further stated that the year 2025 appropriation bill aptly themed; “BUDGET OF CONSOLIDATION” aims at paving the way for sustainable development and continued prosperity for the community.”

The council chairman appreciated the legislative arm for seamless relationship which has assisted the administration to achieve its infrastructural developmental projects over the years.

He said; “I must appreciate the enduring synergy and cordial working relationship between the executive committee, the legislative arm and the management team. I must stress that this cooperation is a necessity for the realisation of our collective objectives and goals in government.”

In the proposed budget presented by the Chairman, General Public has the highest allocation of N2, 534, 676, 000.00, as the Economic Sector gets N2, 349, 800, 000.00

Education Sector takes the sum of N1, 331, 025, 000.00, while the Health Sector will gulp N915, 250, 000 in the appropriation bill.

The motion for the presentation was moved by the majority leader, Hon. Jayeola Azeez and seconded by Hon. Khadijat Funke Jimoh.

The leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Rasheed Obasa appreciated the executive chairman for his unrelenting efforts in transforming Oshodi-Isolo local government, promising that the legislative arm will do a thorough job before approving the proposed budget.

Hon. Obasa assured that the legislators will accelerate passing the bill to make sure the people continue to enjoy dividends of democracy.
