PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA (JUNE 12, 1963 to JUNE 5, 2021)
Yesterday is a special yet sober day of reflection and remembrance – but also a time to appreciate God for Prophet T.B. Joshua, a man whose humble lifestyle of total commitment to Jesus Christ remains an inspiration for people of faith worldwide. What a privilege to have lived with and learned from such a servant of God. May the fruit of our lives bear witness to this (Matthew 7:17-20).
In Matthew 26:41, Jesus Christ told His disciples the key to overcome temptations presented by the trappings and trials of this world – to watch and pray. In Acts 20:31, knowing that certain persecution lay ahead of him in Jerusalem, Apostle Paul admonished his followers to watch and pray, emphasising the same principle in Ephesians 6:18. On June 5, 2021, Prophet T.B. Joshua’s last words echoed the same timeless truth – watch and pray.
Let today’s remembrance serve as an encouragement for you to navigate the journey of life prayerfully and carefully, knowing this world is not our home (Hebrews 13:14). Let us live for eternity and we shall secure all that is available in it.
“The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it.” – Prophet TB Joshua
