The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) is partnering with the management of First Metro Infrastructure Limited (FMIL) to enhance their safety and emergency preparedness.
LASEMA today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the organisation, FMIL, the operators of the Red Metro Line which will cover 37 kilometers, spanning from Agbado to Marina for effective collaboration.
The MOU has been established to cover surveillance, backed into the Agency’s command and control centre for a timely response to issues bordering on safety and security in line with the Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu administration’s THEMES+ agenda.
The Permanent Secretary/CEO of the Agency, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu alongside the Chief Operating Officer Mr Adedeji Adeyinka, today Monday Feb 26th 2024 expressed their joint commitment to pooling resources, knowledge and expertise to better secure the lives and property of the good people of Lago, particularly those living along the Red Line Corridor.
There has been extensive push by the agency, spearheaded by the CEO to move to disaster prevention and risk reduction.
This understanding will encompass training, skills transfer and early warning systems.
It is a hallmark of public private partnerships for the betterment of all.
