….. As Hon. Rotimi Williams Urges The Participating Students To Give A Listening Ear In Their Vocational Classes
The Office of the Senior Special Assistant To The Lagos State Governor has selflessly and freely empowered Over 2000 Youths in Surulere, on different vocational skills of their specialisation, to become the best in life.
As part of the Lagos State government efforts of inclusion to address challenges among the Youth, in building the human capacity, to become an employer of labour and be self dependent.
This was revealed on Wednesday, during the 4th Graduation ceremony, and the 5th Induction of the Lagos State government mod Stadium Surulere Lagos State.
Seaking at the 4th Graduation ceremony, the Senior Special Assistant To The Goveror on Grassroots Empowerment, and the Convener of project Loud Lagos Of Our Dreams, Hon. Prince Kenny Bakare expressed, that the Lagos State Governor has been committed to leave no one behind without having an active skill, to impact the world, which was the reason why the Youths were generally empowered, to teach them how to fish and how to sell their fishes, according the THEMESPlus Agenda of the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, basically on 10 departments of the Skill Acquisition.
He stated further, that vocational skill acquisition is so beneficial to everyone, which does not stop any age bracket from being educated, and it is equally best to tackling an unemployment situation in the nation.
Saying also, that the Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has made it so easy for the the interested residents in Lagos State to participate, because it is a free/ 2 months all expenses paid trainings, basically for both Theory and the practical.
He informed, that the training will not stop here, but will soon expand to some certain levels, whereby you must first be a Lagos Resident before you can participate, and you must go through the criteria to be involved in the trainings, by coming with your(LASRRA card) to undergo the screening process, organized 4 times in a year, at the SSA to the Governor’s Office branch , at No. 114 Western Avenue Surulere Lagos State.
He disclosed other available training departments, which will end up making them a good role model, as Compulsory Digital Marketing and Introduction of Photography, Arts Mixology, Micro blending, Lash Extensions, Baking and Pastries, Nails Arts, Tye&Dye, Tailoring and Weave making are thereby included.
In his address, The SSA To the Governor On Urban Development, Hon. Oluwasegun Rotimi Williams congratulated the Graduands and participants for being part of the motivational project.
while he commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for giving such opportunity to Lagos Residents.
He thereby advised every participating students to take an advantage of the opportunity to give a listening ear, as well as be attentive in the classes, in order to be the best in their various fields of learning, and to encourage the new entrance coming into the system to embrace a better future.
Because when they all humbly participated, and listen well and attentively in the class, also to end up in completing their Tutoring classes well, then their future become brighter and beneficial at the end of the day. He said.
The Progressive Partner at the event, the Sales/Brand Manager of Fidosis White and Spirit Drink, Mrs. Ewefuna Omije Evboifo commended the State Government for stretching a hand of partnership with the organisation, in order to further encourage the students on a better provision of Blender, for a Mixology project, and at the same time supported about 10 Students with Cash Prize, to make the Younger ones turn an apprenticeship who Emerges a CEO of themselves.
The Commissioner Of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Hon. Ogunlende who was represented by the Surulere Local government Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon. Olanrewaju Bashir Oshodi described the Lagos State empowerment initiative as an impressive project, and thereby congratulated the Graduands for a great study achieved. Also wished them all the best.
However, he called upon Nigerians in his address with the Cfame News correspondent, to be of good cheer with whatever condition the country is facing currently, but he is so confident, that by the grace of God Almighty, the Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not be an additional problem to the nation, but he will deliver the nation from the current hardship.
The Aspirant of the 2024 Lagos State House of Assembly, Amuwo Odofin, Hon. Rotimi Gbajabiamila charged the empowerment beneficiaries to remain a law abiding citizen, and a good leader from now and to the upcoming generation.
Saying, whatever they have learnt today should not be taken with levity, but will be so fine to use the opportunity worth of Millions of Naira judiciously, because the opportunity which was gotten free of charge here, might cost a lot out there.
