Tinubu’s Return To Brings Long Awaited Buzz To Political Parties’Campaigns
It appears the long awaited buzz in the political parties’ campaigns across the country for the 2023 presidential election is just about to begin.
This is so because the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has finally returned to the country from his United Kingdom trip, and prepared to immediately kick-start his presidential campaign in earnest.
The APC Presidential candidate was received by a delegation of party’s leaders including his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; Deputy Director-General, Adams Oshiomhole and other party leaders.
While abroad, his whereabout and state of health had particularly been a matter of controversy, following his absence at the signing of the 2023 election Peace Pact, which was graced by virtually all the presidential candidates.
His detractors and opponents had as a result of the absence alleged that the APC flag-bearer travelled abroad for medical treatment due to his ill-health.
Asiwaju had in a swift reaction sent a viral video where he was seen cycling abroad to debunk the claims by his opponents and detractors.
Contrary to the claims by the mischief makers, the viral video also shows that Asiwaju is hale and hearty, and physical fit and ready for his campaign activities.
Asiwaju returned to the country on Thursday, October 6, 2022, hale and hearty, after holidaying and spending precious time with his grandchildren in the UK for about two weeks.
His party, the APC and the Presidential Campaign Council have been waiting for his arrival to finalize arrangements and kick-off its 2023 election campaigns.
In describing Asiwaju’s return on his official Twitter handle, the Chief Spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, announced that the Eagle has landed.
